Behind THE ROOM STUDIO are Ilvars and Signe. After more than 10 years in Scandinavia, they returned to Latvia to make custom furniture here.

Ilvars is the driving force and mind behind THE ROOM STUDIO. He combines strategic leadership with deep, specific knowledge of engineering processes. He honed his expertise in Latvia and over 10 years working internationally — mainly in Norway. This Scandinavian experience shaped his standard for absolute precision and durable, well-engineered solutions.
For Ilvars there are no unsolvable situations — only challenges that call for an intelligent approach. Thanks to his ability to get inside each client’s vision, he will always find the solution that fits you best.

Signe is THE ROOM STUDIO’s communications specialist and the key link between the client’s vision and its flawless execution. With nearly 10 years of experience in project management and strategic client work across Latvia and Norway, she handles even the largest and most demanding processes.
Her strength is empathy paired with rigorous structure — every client feels heard and every project stage is delivered precisely and on time.
Her international experience in Scandinavia gave her the ability to work in a multicultural environment and deliver top-level service, with an approach tailored to each client’s needs and budget.
We believe that good furniture begins with understanding the space, not browsing a catalogue. Every project starts with an on-site visit — measuring the room and learning how it is actually used day to day.
Behind THE ROOM STUDIO is more than 10 years of experience and over 100 completed projects, mostly in Scandinavia and Norway, where standards for quality and precision are high. Designers and craftspeople work hands-on — from the first sketch to the final fitting — taking responsibility for measuring, design, manufacturing and installation.
Complex layouts are our everyday work. We are used to non-standard situations — sloping attic ceilings, deep niches, compact spaces and seemingly awkward corners. Every client receives an individual solution created specifically for their home.
We work across Rīga and all of Latvia. Our team communicates in Latvian, Russian and English, so every client is comfortable from the first call to the final handover.
